The Australian celebrated half a century of great news and journalism, by throwing its staff a birthday bash to be remembered.
The event was held at the iconic Paddington Town Hall and staff flew in from around the country for the special occasion. Bespoke ‘balloonery’ served as the focal point of the room, elegantly decorated from the truss above the bar. Lachlan Murdoch, Non-Executive Co-Chairman of News Corp & 21st Century Fox, and Nicholas Gray CEO The Australian delivered speeches thanking the staff for their great contribution over the years. Iconic Australian dishes inspired the catering which included Gay Times for dessert, touches of gold accentuated the room and DJ Stephen Ferris had all guests dancing away into the night. We even extended the party by an extra hour, as guests would not get of the dance floor.
“Skylark did an incredible job for The Australians 50th Staff Party.
It was a pleasure to work with you and your team on producing a high quality event that is still talked about internally.
Thank you again for all your help and I hope to work on an event again with you soon.”
